In June 2013, Deputy Hisham Hammoud was responsible for monitoring inmate Srinivas Nallani, who committed suicide. Hammoud conducted cell checks and did not find the inmate’s behavior unusual. The court determined there was no evidence of deliberate indifference by Hammoud, and summary judgment was granted in his favor.
