In an incident detailed in a lawsuit, Deputy Jerry Don Rollins, while off duty, followed and confronted an individual named Croxton, accusing him of speeding. Rollins allegedly threatened Croxton with jail and physically assaulted him after Croxton requested a lawyer. The incident was filmed by Rollins’ wife, Melissa, who is also a deputy with the RPSO. Rollins issued a summons to Croxton and released him after asking not to be sued. A lawsuit was filed against Rollins, his wife, and the RPSO, alleging excessive force and misconduct. The case is ongoing.
