Deputy John Wiebelt was involved in the November 2017 arrest of Nathaniel Rogers. Rogers alleged that Wiebelt and other deputies used excessive force during the arrest, including a box-in maneuver that led to his vehicle being stopped. The court granted in part and denied in part the defendants’ motion to dismiss or for summary judgment in January 2022, allowing some of Rogers’ claims to proceed.
