    On January 17, 2019, Deputy Johnson observed inmate Rettew displaying signs of severe medical distress, such as vomiting, shaking, and hallucinating. Deputy Johnson did not promptly seek medical care for Rettew. After an investigation into the incident, Deputy Johnson was terminated for failing to adhere to jail policy in addressing Rettew’s medical needs.
