On September 26, 2019, Deputy Katich, along with Deputies Hartmann and Otero, entered Earl Lee Dorey’s property without a warrant or probable cause. The deputies’ actions led to a confrontation resulting in injuries to Dorey and his pregnant girlfriend. A lawsuit was filed against Katich and the other deputies, alleging excessive force, false arrest, and malicious prosecution. The court dismissed the false arrest and malicious prosecution claims but allowed the excessive force claim to proceed.

Our Mission

We're building a comprehensive database of police interactions to promote accountability and transparency in law enforcement.

How You Can Participate

Important Community Guidelines

It is strictly against our rules to:

  • Make threats of any kind
  • Share private information such as personal emails, home addresses, or phone numbers

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
