Found by a federal judge in March 2024 to have used excessive force during the wrongful arrest of Ronald Georgia in June 2019. Davenport responded to a noise complaint at Georgia’s residence, where he pushed Georgia twice, causing him to fall over a cooler, and arrested him without lawful justification. Davenport admitted to violating department policy by not checking the tightness of the handcuffs, which caused Georgia’s wrists to bleed.
