On July 18, 2021, Deputy Loomis pulled over 83-year-old EMS volunteer Kuiken while he was en route to a medical emergency, delaying his response. Loomis issued traffic tickets based on a prior false report by another individual. Kuiken’s complaints to Sheriff Abrams were dismissed without investigation. The charges were later reduced to parking violations. Kuiken was subsequently terminated from the Speculator Ambulance Corps. A lawsuit alleging age discrimination and constitutional violations was filed against Loomis and others. ([casetext.com](https://casetext.com/case/kuiken-v-cnty-of-hamilton?utm_source=openai))

Important Community Guidelines

It is strictly against our rules to:

  • Make threats of any kind

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
