Deputy Hines was charged with a third-degree felony for a scheme to defraud after being paid over $1,000 for overtime assignments he did not work. Investigations revealed that since April 2023, Hines was assigned 10 overtime details but often arrived late and left early, sometimes missing several hours of the assignments.
