In January 2022, Deputy Timmons used excessive force during a traffic stop by deploying a stun gun, kicking the suspect in the head twice, and pulling him up by his hair. He falsified the incident report and provided false information when confronted. Timmons resigned in February 2022 during the internal investigation. In October 2023, he was charged with third-degree assault and battery.
