In April 2016, Deputy Ellison was terminated from his position after arresting his supervisor’s acquaintance and reporting another officer’s misconduct. Ellison filed a lawsuit alleging wrongful termination in violation of his First and Fourteenth Amendment rights. The court dismissed his claims, and no further disciplinary actions or outcomes have been documented.
