    On November 6, 2022, Deputy Rodney Anderson conducted a traffic stop on Derrick Kittling in Alexandria’s Lower Third neighborhood. During the stop, an altercation ensued, leading to Anderson fatally shooting Kittling. Body-worn and dashboard camera footage of the incident was released, and the Louisiana State Police initiated an investigation into the shooting.
