In 2022, Deputy Davis was involved in the arrest of Salinda and Anita Hayes, during which she allegedly used excessive force, including the use of a Taser, and subjected the detainees to inhumane treatment. The plaintiffs claimed that Davis deliberately left them in overheated patrol cars and made derogatory remarks. A lawsuit was filed against Davis and other officers, alleging violations of the Fourth and Fourteenth Amendments. The court found that the allegations were sufficient to raise a reasonable inference of constitutional violations. ([casetext.com](https://casetext.com/case/hayes-v-owen?utm_source=openai))

Important Community Guidelines

It is strictly against our rules to:

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
