    In April 2007, Detective Armstrong arrested Christensen based on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of sexually exploitative material. The charges were later dismissed due to a lack of probable cause, as Christensen’s prior conviction did not prohibit firearm ownership. Christensen filed a lawsuit alleging unlawful arrest and malicious prosecution, claiming Armstrong knowingly provided misinformation to the prosecutor, leading to the wrongful charges and his 30-day incarceration.
