On August 16, 2022, Detective Ghedine reported two hours late for duty, appearing under the influence. A subsequent search of her county vehicle revealed prescription medication and an empty alcoholic beverage bottle. On September 14, 2022, she was arrested in Maryland for driving while impaired and failed to notify her employer of the arrest. She engaged in behavior reflecting poorly on the agency during the arrest.
