Between January 12, 2016, and October 1, 2018, Detective Jason Davis conducted an investigation into potential embezzlement and larceny charges against an individual. The individual alleged that Davis had a conflict of interest due to prior personal relationships and that Davis deliberately ignored evidence to sway the odds of guilt. The case was reviewed by the Cabell County Prosecutor’s Office in January 2018, leading to an indictment. The individual filed a lawsuit against Davis and the Huntington Police Department, claiming misconduct and conflict of interest. The court documents detail these allegations and the subsequent legal proceedings.
