In 2020, Detective Ringgold was involved in a lawsuit alleging constitutional violations related to a search warrant execution. The plaintiffs claimed that Detective Ringgold made false statements and omissions in his reports, leading to an unlawful search and seizure. The court, however, found no evidence of false statements and granted qualified immunity to Detective Ringgold, dismissing the claims against him.
