Holyoke police officer Devon Bones was suspended and later had his certification automatically suspended by the state POST Commission in 2023 after he was arrested and charged with a felony. Bones is accused in an ongoing criminal case originating in Springfield (unrelated to his police duties in Holyoke) involving allegations of violent offenses. As a result of the charges, Holyoke PD placed him on leave and he remains off-duty while awaiting the outcome of the legal proceedings.
