In December 2009, Deputy Police Chief Ed Holly resigned after an investigation revealed multiple violations, including misuse of police vehicles for personal purposes, harassment, unauthorized background checks, and dishonesty to superiors and investigators. The city planned to terminate him, but he resigned before the process was completed. No civil or criminal charges were pursued against him.
