San Antonio Police Officer Elliott E. Torres has been suspended for 45 days after being found to have driven at excessive speeds nearly 100 times while operating his patrol vehicle. In some instances, he was transporting detainees without proper safety measures. Despite prior warnings and audits of his driving behavior, Torres continued to exceed speed limits without activating emergency lights or sirens, and failed to come to complete stops when required. His suspension began on February 26 and will conclude on April 11. San Antonio Express-News
