In 2006, Officer Greg Kwiatkowski was involved in an incident where he placed a man in a chokehold during an arrest. Fellow officer Cariol Horne intervened to stop him, leading to her termination. Kwiatkowski was later promoted to lieutenant but faced legal issues, including a 2018 conviction for using unlawful force against four teenagers in custody, resulting in a four-month prison sentence.
