On February 20, 2020, Officer White responded to a call at the Best Western Plus University Inn. Shortly after, a woman alleged that White sexually assaulted her during the call. An investigation led to White being charged with sexual battery and placed on administrative leave. He was taken into custody and received a $2,500 bond. White resigned from the department following the charges.
