Detention center officer Hillario Fuentes Rosario was involved in the alleged assault of inmate Clifford Bryan Beaudin Jr. on August 9, 2020, at the Aiken County Detention Center. Fuentes Rosario, along with two other officers, reportedly struck Beaudin multiple times and used a weapon to deliver electric shocks while he was not resisting. Following an internal investigation, Fuentes Rosario was terminated, and on January 15, 2021, he was arrested and charged with misconduct in office by a public official. Beaudin subsequently filed a lawsuit against the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, alleging negligence in his treatment.
