In March 2023, Investigator Alvin Holmes was involved in the wrongful arrest of Ms. Tamekia Olive. Ms. Olive was threatened, unreasonably seized, and arrested after attempting to file a complaint against the Morehouse Parish Sheriff’s Office. The United States District Court entered a judgment in favor of Ms. Olive against Sheriff Michael Tubbs and Investigator Holmes, including a monetary judgment and attorney’s fees. This case highlights issues of unreasonable seizure and wrongful arrest within the department.
