    In November 2016, Deputy Isaac Lewis was involved in an incident where a suspect, Millard Jerome Strickland Jr., was tased multiple times during an arrest. Strickland alleged excessive force, claiming he was tased 13 times; however, body camera footage indicated at least 17 taser deployments. The case, Strickland v. Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, was reviewed in 2021, with the court noting discrepancies between the plaintiff’s claims and the video evidence.
