    In October 2013, Jack Miller, the landfill manager and husband of employee Nova Miller, admitted to the theft of county property, including pocketing over twenty thousand dollars from the sale of county recyclables and using county funds to purchase tires for his wife’s truck. He was suspended without pay on October 31, 2013, and terminated on November 6, 2013. He later pleaded guilty to grand theft.
