In July 2014, Officer Jacob Danduran was involved in an incident at a Detroit Lakes hotel where he was intoxicated and fell in the shower. When police arrived, Danduran and his fiancée did not open the door, and upon entry, Danduran made disrespectful comments to the officers. A Detroit Lakes police sergeant filed a complaint about Danduran’s behavior, leading to counseling by his superior. Danduran acknowledged his behavior was unacceptable and that officers are held to a higher standard.
