Officer Jacob Danielson, employed from June 2016 to July 2020, faced multiple disciplinary actions. In May 2018, he was placed on an improvement plan for report writing deficiencies. In October 2018, he failed to appear for a court shift and was suspended from extra duty assignments. In November 2018, he caused over $1,000 in damages to his squad car by hitting a metal pole and failed to report the accident. Additionally, he mishandled a drug overdose scene by clearing it without supervisor permission, leading to lost evidence. In March 2019, he was disciplined for insubordination and failure to perform duties. In November 2019, he received counseling for failing to check in on registered offenders and for complaints about his hygiene and unclean workspace. An internal investigation in January 2020 recommended termination, but he was instead suspended for 50 hours without pay. Danielson resigned in July 2020.
