Former Deputy Jacob Desue was involved in multiple incidents of misconduct during his tenure from March 2020 to August 2022. Notably, in August 2022, he conducted a traffic stop where he pointed a gun at a pregnant woman with her three children in the car. This incident led to his immediate resignation. Prior to this, Desue had a history of disciplinary actions, including insubordination in July 2021, aggressive behavior during a call in January 2022, and using his patrol vehicle to haul wood, resulting in loss of take-home privileges in February 2022. In April 2022, he was suspended without pay for refusing to report injuries sustained during a suspect pursuit and was placed on a special probationary period until April 2023. His resignation was enforced following the August 2022 incident.
