In April 2017, Pam Freeman was named in a lawsuit by inmate Kyle Wallace, who alleged that his cell was flooded with contaminated water and that Freeman failed to address the unsanitary conditions. Wallace claimed this led to illness and filed a lawsuit alleging deliberate indifference to his health and safety. The case, Wallace v. Coffee County, was filed in April 2018 and is ongoing.
