Create And Track Police Department History

Former Police Chief James Cetran was placed on leave in November 2020 for allegedly interfering with an investigation into two sergeants accused of time abuse. He was terminated in 2021 after rescinding an agreement to retire, following disputes with Town Manager Gary Evans. Cetran filed lawsuits alleging unlawful termination and breach of agreement; one was dismissed, and another is pending appeal.
