In April 2015, former Captain James Corder was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for violating the civil rights of an arrestee, obstructing justice, and making false statements in a federal investigation. In July 2013, Corder stole $1,785 in cash from an arrestee and later lied in a sworn statement to FBI and FDLE agents investigating the theft.
