Served as Fremont County Sheriff during the late 1920s and early 1930s. In October 1929, a federal judge sentenced him to three months in jail and a $500 fine for contempt of court after federal prisoners were allowed out at night under his watch. Additionally, an inmate filed a $5,000 lawsuit against Fredrickson, alleging mistreatment during arrest. Witnesses denied the claims, and the outcome of the suit is unclear.
