In June 2018, Officer James Robson was terminated for violating the department’s use-of-force policy during the arrest of Sherman Daniel at the Eastgate Apartments. Robson drew his service weapon and used force deemed excessive, leading to his dismissal. He filed an appeal with the department to reconsider the action taken.
