In September 2023, Deputy Jarrod Bennett was indicted on 11 counts related to the creation, distribution, and possession of child pornography between September 2021 and June 2023. He allegedly attempted to destroy evidence on his cell phone and department-issued laptop. Bennett was suspended from the department on June 5, 2023, upon initiation of the investigation and was held without bond following his indictment.
