Fired in July 2020 due to a scandal involving photos taken at the memorial site of Elijah McClain’s death. Rosenblatt, one of the arresting officers in the 2019 McClain encounter, received images of fellow officers reenacting the chokehold used on McClain and replied ‘haha,’ leading the police chief to terminate him for conduct unbecoming. In 2023, Rosenblatt went on trial for manslaughter in McClain’s death but was acquitted by a jury of all charges.
