On August 6, 2021, Officer Jesse James was named as a defendant in the federal civil rights case Graff, et al v. ABERDEEN ENTERPRISES II, INC. et al (Case 4:17-cv-00606-TCK-JFJ). The lawsuit alleges deprivation of rights and misconduct, including violations under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 and 18 U.S.C. § 1964(c) (RICO), as well as the Fourth and Fourteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution. The case involves claims of organized crime control violations and seeks civil remedies for the plaintiffs. Officer James holds CLEET Number 0094593, with an active full-time peace officer license effective since December 17, 2003.
