In 2011, Officer John Gantert was terminated for submitting a Lethality Assessment Protocol (LAP) form with information he knew to be incorrect, violating departmental policies on report falsification. An arbitrator later reinstated him, reducing the penalty to a suspension without pay from June 16 to November 7, 2011. Despite reinstatement, Gantert was placed on the ‘Laurie List’ for credibility concerns, which he unsuccessfully contested in court.
