On January 19, 2018, Officer John Stanczak, along with Officers Andrew Moffitt and Jeremy Bratton, conducted a traffic stop and arrested an individual for stalking and harassment without probable cause, based on deliberate misinformation and false reports. The individual was detained for six days before being released on bond. The charges were later dismissed in May 2018.
