In February 2020, Officer Jonathan Clark, an 18-year veteran, was involved in a non-fatal shooting of a theft suspect following a vehicle pursuit. In September 2020, a Marion County grand jury indicted Clark on charges of aggravated battery, battery with a deadly weapon, and battery resulting in serious bodily injury. The charges were later dropped in September 2024 due to a key witness’s lack of cooperation.
