On July 21, 2021, Sergeant Jordan Granger responded to a domestic disturbance call involving Karmen Parrish. During the encounter, Parrish approached officers despite commands to stop and was shot by Sergeant Granger after raising his arms quickly. Parrish was unarmed at the time. An internal investigation concluded that Sergeant Granger acted appropriately and in accordance with the law.
