In July 2022, Deputy Jordan Rhodes, along with Deputy Kenneth Moore, issued a criminal trespassing citation to a disabled man, John Malaer, who was camping on public property. The citation was issued after the county leased the land to a private party for $1 per year, effectively converting it to private property. The lawsuit alleges that the deputies threatened Malaer with arrest if he did not vacate the property and waited until legal observers had left before issuing the citation. The case is currently pending in federal court.

Our Mission

We're building a comprehensive database of police interactions to promote accountability and transparency in law enforcement.

  • View the Blog: Read about documented police interactions
  • Share Your Experience: Submit your own police interaction story
  • Browse the Forums: Check if your local law enforcement has been documented

Important Community Guidelines

It is strictly against our rules to:

  • Make threats of any kind
  • Share private information such as personal emails, home addresses, or phone numbers

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
