Officer Joseph McGunigle was terminated in 2012 after multiple incidents of misconduct. In 2011, he was involved in a ‘traffic cone’ incident where he was found to have violated the department’s personal conduct policy, resulting in a five-day suspension without pay. Later that year, while on administrative leave, he violated a direct order to stay away from the police station, leading to charges of insubordination and witness intimidation. His license to carry a firearm was revoked, and he was deemed unfit to serve as a police officer, resulting in his termination.
