Fort Wayne Police Sgt. Joshua Hartup struck and killed a pedestrian, attorney Henry Najdeski, with his police vehicle in April 2023. Hartup later pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of failure to yield to a pedestrian, paid a $35.50 fine, and received no departmental discipline for the fatal incident.
