In January 2021, Sergeant Julie Hagen was arrested for driving under the influence while off duty. She pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to one year of probation. The department initially suspended her for 40 hours, which was later reduced to a 30-hour suspension after a grievance by the police union.
