Former officer Kevin Norris was accused of sexually harassing and assaulting a woman, Chantelle Jones, in 2019. Jones alleged that Norris used his position to manipulate and assault her, and that the department attempted to cover up his actions. Norris resigned in March 2022 after illegally accessing information on Jones’ family. A federal lawsuit seeking $4 million in damages was filed against Norris and the department in January 2023.
