Sergeant Kevin Pageau co-led a coercive interrogation of a 16-year-old girl, resulting in a false confession and nearly three years of wrongful incarceration. A judge later ruled the confession inadmissible, leading to a $2.1 million settlement by the city. Pageau was subsequently promoted within the department.
