Officer Krista Zentner is one of the defendants in a federal lawsuit filed on December 22, 2023, by Sheila Lee, alleging excessive force and civil rights violations during an incident on December 25, 2020. Zentner, along with Officers Molly O’Hara, Richard Rodriguez, Don Bell, and Ashley Wolford, is accused of forcibly removing Lee from her vehicle, throwing her to the ground, and causing significant injuries. The lawsuit alleges that Zentner and the other officers ignored Lee’s medical conditions and used unreasonable force. The charges against Lee were dismissed by the District Attorney’s Office. The case is currently in mediation.
