In April 2024, Lansing Snell, a former employee of the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office, was arrested for malfeasance in office. He conspired with another employee to steal over $6,000 by falsifying timesheets for transport bus duties. As of January 2025, Snell had not yet been to court.
