In June 2011, Corporal Larry Hawkins failed to remove an abandoned vehicle blocking a lane on Walker Road, despite being instructed to do so. This inaction led to his termination, upheld by the Bossier City Municipal Fire & Police Civil Service Board and the 26th Judicial District Court, citing his history of dereliction of duty dating back to 1994.
