In 2015, Officer Leonard Stufflebean arrested Michael Faziani for failing to report minor accidents, leading to an 18-day detention without a magistrate hearing. During this period, Faziani was denied necessary medications and subjected to inhumane conditions. Allegations arose that jail guards, including Stufflebean, pilfered medications and exchanged them for sexual favors. The case resulted in a $750,000 settlement in December 2015.
